The M-16 rifle is configured to replicate an RPK-74 light machine gun. The RPK-74 became the standard issue LMG for the Russian Red Army in the early 1960's.
The M-16 is one of the original weapons that Laser Team Challenge opened its doors with in 2004. Despite the age of the M-16, it is still a solid to use rifle for each of the missions.
